José Henrique Borghi and His Influence on Brazillian Advertising

Even before he began his career, José Henrique Borghi had been destined to become one of the most influential advertisers in Brazil. With his advertising agency, Mullen Lowe, he has created some of the most recognizable and memorable advertising campaigns in the history of Brazil, and won countless awards, paving the way for not only his own success but for the success of Mullen Lowe as a whole.

An attendant of PUC Campinas, Jose Borghi had undertaken studies pertaining to Advertising, in addition to Propaganda, preparing him to influence Brazilian advertising before he’d even taken his first job. Once he had acquired his first job, one with the Standart Ogilvy agency, he had found himself looking for more, and so, he eventually founded his own agency in partnership with Erh Ray, the agency being known at the time as BorghiErh and learn more about Jose Borghi.

With no money, no investors, and no grants, BorghiErh had to be built from the ground up through sheer determination alone. The company saw significant success, being acquired by Lowe in late 2006 as Ray and Borghi split, and eventually merging with the Mullen group and Lowe & Partners, becoming the Mullen Lowe brand we know today. With the merger complete, he assumed the role of co-CEO with his current partner, Andre Gomes and Jose Borghi on Facebook.

Growing up in Montreal, Lori was the youngest of 4 girls. Therefore, she was able to receive the most attention from her mother and sisters. She knew early in life that she wanted the best for herself and worked hard to get to where she is now. She received her degree from McGill University. After that, she became the President for an office located in New York.

Lori Senecal became interested in advertising and marketing while attending high school. She started coaching the gymnastics team, unable to become a part of the team because of her height. That is where she developed the leadership skills that she would later need to be successful. Her love for advertising also came from her experience in coaching. She knew that’s what she wanted her career to consist of. She is the one that will put all her focus on any challenge that she is faced with. KBS can thank Lori Senecal for her leadership skills.
